On the way to the Santa Elena Forest Reserve, a fork to the left leads three kilometers to the private 100-hectare reserve at Mirador Lodge Private Reserve(4WD required). Famous for its spectacular views of Arenal Lake and Volcano during the dry season and its cloud forest trails. They have nice new cabins with volcano views. Meals in the restaurant are moderately priced. The shuttle to the Santa Elena Reserve can leave you three kilometers from the Mirador. ©
